William M. McCelvey, 30, switchman, died in an attempt to help save Mary Perrin, from drowning, Calhoun Falls, South Carolina, July 30, 1915. (See case of JULIAN M. WILKINSON.) When Wilkinson called for help, McCelvey, who was suffering with rheumatism and was fully dressed, dived from the bank and swam toward Wilkinson and Miss Perrin, but he sank and drowned without having reached them. 15476-1224
