Thomas C. Morris, Jr., rescued James B. Robinson from burning, Sugar Hill, Georgia, January 10, 1988. Robinson, 60, was overcome by smoke in his burning residence at night. A neighbor, Morris, 32, shipping clerk, was alerted to the fire and ran to the scene. He broke open the front door of Robinson’s house and, despite dense smoke and limited visibility inside, entered in search of any occupants. Morris found Robinson on the floor and dragged him outside. Robinson required hospitalization for smoke inhalation and burns.
