Paul G. McCullough

Paul G. McCullough saved John D. Hartman from burning, Madisonville, Kentucky, August 2, 1979. When his tractor-trailer was involved in a highway accident at night and caught fire, Hartman, 49, sustained injuries and was pinned inside the cab. McCullough, 40, truckdriver, ran to the rig, broke a window, and reached into the cab, on which flames were increasing. McCullough freed Hartman and pulled him through the window before the spreading flames engulfed the rig.
