Lawrence E. Lansborough, 15, student, attempted to save George C. Dewey,15, and W. Clark Morgan, 13, schoolboys, from drowning, Olivet, Michigan, January 2, 1913. (See cases of GEORGE C. DEWEY and STANLEY D. LANSBOROUGH.) Lawrence was one of the two who had removed their skates. They both ran toward the hole, being passed by Stanley. When they were about 12 feet from the hole, the ice broke, and they went beneath the surface in the hole with the other three boys. Lawrence succeeded in crawling up on the ice himself. 9760-954
