John C. Zuflucht, 39, poster artist, died attempting to save Susanna A. Miller, 66, from being killed by a train, Elizabeth, New Jersey, June 12, 1916. Mrs. Miller stepped onto a track on which a train was approaching at a speed of 60 m.p.h. Zuflucht went 15 feet toward her and reached to seize her, but both were struck and killed.
