John C. Scureman, 55, salesman, rescued Karl A. Keller, 11, from electric shock, West Pittston, Pennsylvania, March 24, 1907. Heedless of warnings of others, Scureman grasped the ankle of the boy, who lay unconscious holding a live wire. Scureman pulled Karl free from the wire but was himself knocked down by another wire coming in contact with his neck. Scureman was disabled 18 days. 2197-249
