James Gordon Morrison saved Reginald Horton from drowning, Owen Sound, Ontario, March 19, 1979. Horton, 64, and Morrison, 65, were walking on an ice-covered lake when Horton broke through into deep water. When Morrison tried to pull Horton out, the ice gave way. Morrison was partially submerged but climbed onto the ice. He then obtained a small sleigh with which he pulled Horton out of the water and to safe ice, from where others aided them to shore.
