J. Floyd Frasier, 13, schoolboy, saved Wayne K. Williams, 16, farmhand, from drowning, Dulaney, Texas, May 28,1911. Wayne was 20 feet from the bank of a pond, where the water was over six feet deep, and was seized by cramp and went beneath the surface. When he came up, he paddled feebly but again went down. Floyd, who was five inches shorter than Wayne, swam to him from the bank and grasped him, but Wayne grabbed Floyd and they struggled. Floyd was pulled beneath the surface twice, but he succeeded in getting Wayne to the bank without assistance. 6754-742
