Harry T. J. Jedlicka, 27, plumber, died attempting to save Emil Polak, 28, clerk, from drowning, Sayville, New York, July 4, 1914. Polak, who could not swim, fell from a cat boat into the waters of Great South Bay a half-mile south of shore, where the water was deep.
