Gregory Allen Frausto rescued a woman from assault, Runaway Bay, Texas, November 6, 1995. A 19-year-old woman was in the convenience store where she worked when a man entered, forcibly removed her from the store, and took her to his pickup truck. Making a delivery to the store, Frausto, 30, route driver, witnessed the abduction. He followed the assailant to the pickup and told him to release the woman. The assailant then secured a rifle from his truck and threatened both Frausto and the woman. Frausto went back to the store and told the manager that the assailant was armed. Returning to the scene, he again approached the assailant, who was attempting to get the woman into the truck. The assailant turned and struck Frausto with the butt of the rifle. In an ensuing scuffle, during which the woman was freed, Frausto secured the rifle and locked it in the truck. He took the assailant to the ground and held him there until police arrived minutes later and arrested him. Frausto was treated for contusions to his nose, lip, and ribs. He recovered.
