Frederick W. Miller, 33, crossing watchman, saved Timothy Maloney, 60, from drowning, Rush, New York, April 24, 1908. Miller swam 15 feet in Honeoye Creek to within 4 feet of the foot of a dam, where water was failing from a height of 8 feet, and rescued Maloney, who had been carried over the dam in a rowboat. 2615-255
