Evelyn Clair Leftwich saved Laura L. Boyd from drowning, Camp Walton, Florida, June 24, 1931. Evelyn, 15, schoolgirl, waded and then swam 40 feet to Mrs. Boyd, 32, reaching her as she was struggling desperately. Supporting her with one hand, Evelyn swam vigorously for 25 feet toward shore and then tried to touch bottom but could not.
