Ethel H. Kline saved Prudence Marmurowicz and Kimberly Mueller from being struck by an automobile, West Allis, Wisconsin, December 16, 1977. Mrs. Kline, 60, was standing on the sidewalk at an intersection with Prudence, 11, and Kimberly, 6, when an automobile became involved in a collision at the crossing and then veered toward them. Mrs. Kline pushed each girl in a different direction, removing them from danger; but she was unable to move out of the path of the oncoming vehicle before it struck her. Mrs. Kline, who was dragged some distance by the automobile, required hospitalization for her injuries.
