Edward Loadman saved Elizabeth, Frank, and Steve Apwach from being run over by a train, Gastonville, Pennsylvania, April 13, 1910. Placing one foot over the rail, Loadman, 31, motorman, grabbed Frank, 3, who was standing on the track, and swung himself and the child back from the track. While doing so, he noticed Mrs. Apwach, 36, with Steve, 2, in her arms about to step on the track, and he pulled her back also, all four clearing the track just as the train rushed by at a speed of 40 m.p.h. 5049-455
