Edward A. Mitchell died attempting to save James D. Brown from electric shock, Cambria, Virginia, July 10, 1925. While James, 17, student, was cultivating corn, he got in contact with a guy-wire that hung loose from a pole and was in contact with a wire carrying an electric current of 2,300 volts. He was shocked into unconsciousness. Mitchell, 35, farm manager, went to his assistance and was also shocked. Neither could be revived. 26218-2163
