Edmund M. Loftus, 25, salesman, saved Irene M. Glynn, 27, and George H. Keim, 25, salesman, from drowning, Chicago, Illinois, June 10, 1922. While Miss Glynn and Keim were wading on a bar in Lake Michigan, the water became choppy, and they got off the bar into deep water. Loftus swam 60 feet to them. Miss Glynn and Keim grabbed him as he was about to take hold of them, and he was submerged. As he rose, he freed himself with difficulty. He then took hold of Miss Glynn with one hand and Keim with the other and swam 45 feet with them to wadable water. 22502-2078
