Dora R. LaRocque, 15, schoolgirl, saved Inez A. Govoni, 13, from drowning, West Plymouth, Massachusetts, July 26, 1928. While Inez was swimming in a pond, she got in distress and went under the surface at a point 75 feet from the bank. Dora, fully clothed, waded from the bank and then swam 25 feet to her. She was grabbed around the neck by Inez, and they were momentarily submerged. After a struggle, Dora swam 15 feet with Inez to wadable water. 28489-2387
