Daniel H. Penney helped to rescue Roger R. Bossence from burning, Sidney, British Columbia, August 20, 1986. Bossence, 44, was the driver of a car that caught fire following a highway accident. Penney, 45, entrepreneur who lived nearby, heard the crash and went to the scene, where he joined a woman in attempting to remove the unconscious Bossence through the driver’s window. Penney then entered the car through the passenger door and freed Bossence’s foot, which was caught.
