Charles Francis Keith saved an unidentified woman from being killed by a train, Ashland, Kentucky, January 17, 1926. At night, the woman, 25, stepped onto a track on which a train was approaching at a speed of 15 m.p.h. Keith, 34, switchman, ran 90 feet to her, part of the way on the track facing the train. He grabbed her and leaped from the track with her. The locomotive brushed his hip, and both fell but were not injured. 25960-2208
