Bertram N. Hollingworth, 19, window-sash maker, died saving Joseph R. Swaine, 22, blacksmith, from drowning, Windsor Locks, Connecticut, August 29, 1910. Hollingworth jumped from a moving launch and swam to Swaine, who could not swim and had fallen into Windsor Locks Canal where the water was over eight feet deep. Swaine grabbed and clung to Hollingworth until he was able to catch hold of a rope and climb aboard the launch, but Hollingworth became distressed and was drowned. 6056-623
