Amanda Williams

Amanda Williams rescued a man from assault, Vallejo, California, August 11, 2025. The man, 28, was lying on a curb as an assailant held him down and stabbed him repeatedly in the face and head with two steak knives in his right hand. Williams, 37, delivery driver, was driving by on her way to work and saw what she thought was a fight. She stopped, rolled down her window, and told the men she was going to call the police. The assailant told her to leave. She then noticed the victim was bleeding from his face and the two knives in the assailant’s hand. The victim cried out to her for help, saying the assailant was trying to kill him. Williams said again that she was going to call the police and began to dial 911, then saw the assailant raise the knives to stab the victim again. She jumped out of her car, ran at the assailant, and grabbed his right wrist with both hands. The assailant stood and the two wrestled over control of the knives as the assailant pushed Williams into the street and against her car. While holding his wrist with her right hand, Williams used her left hand to grab the blades and turn them down toward his wrist, then twisting them out of his hand. She then spun around and began to run, holding the knives. The assailant jumped into Williams’ still-running car and drove away. He was later arrested. The victim was treated at a hospital. Williams suffered minor cuts to her hand but was otherwise uninjured.
